ScheerSpeed Detailed: Ferrari F430 Scuderia
This car is one-off color, and the only one of it's kind. What a beautiful color it was to see in person after i was finished detailing it.
The car was picked up around October, but had only been driven about 300 miles. However, there were some signs that i thought were compounding scratches from a wool pad after wetsanding. Whether this was done at the factory, or by another detailer, i do not know. However there weren't many RIDS, and 100% of the defects came out with two passes of SIP on the Detailer's Domain Uber Orange foam pad. Then followed with 85RD left the surface glistening. Now enough of me writing... onto the good stuff! PICS! and over 100 of them! Exterior -Wash -1Z Anti Insekt -CG CWC -Meg's mitt -P21s TAW -Wheels -CG CWC -P21s Gel -EZ detail brush -Swissvax wheel brush -DD World's Best Boar's Hair brush -ARO (tires) -Wheel Wells -Meg's APC+ -DD wheel well brush Clay -Special yellow poly clay -ONR lube Polishing -Exterior paint -Menzerna SIP via Orange Uber pad @ 1000-2000RPM (2 passes) -Menzerna PO85RD via blue Uber pad @ 1000-2000RPM -Makita 9227C -3M Yellow Foam Backing Plate -1000w halogen lights -ISA 50/50 wipedown -DD Uber MF towels LSP -Paint -Swissvax Cleaner Fluid -Swissvax Mystery (2 coats) -FK1# 425 -CG 530XL MF towels -Wheels -FK1# 425 -CG Barebones (wheel wells) -Swissvax Pneu -Engine -P21s TAW -Swissvax Cleaner Fluid -Swissvax Autobahn -1Z Chrome Polish (muffler) Glass -Stoner's Invisible Glass Interior -1Z Cockpit Premium -Swissvax Mystery (Carbon Fiber Parts) -Leather Master Trio (non-alcantra parts) Here she is before. Just taken out of a car cover. There really wasn't much dirt on the car at all, however the paint needed correction badly. now that looks like wool pad compounding marks to me.... Some wax left around the clear bra by a previous detailer. more buffer trails! i then washed the car using Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash n Clear to strip the P21s Wax that had been applied before. then after the wash i pulled the car back into the garage area to clay it. I was really surprised to see how contaminated the paint was considering it was such a new car! So after claying the entire car, except for the areas that had clear bra, i taped up all the clear bra edges, and any trim peices that would be in the vicinity of the polishing pad. and now some pictures with the halogens the rear carbon fiber peice looked really hazy. here's what i first decided to go with the hood after two passes of SIP came out flawless and so did the mirror and the reflection after SIP and a 91% isopropyl alcohol wipe. before continuing polishing, i decided to go ahead and finish the engine. it wasn't dirty at all, so i just gave it a wipe down with a microfiber towel dampened with P21s TAW and then followed that with a 91% Isopropyl Alcohol wipe. Then i polised the muffler with #0000 steel wool and 1Z chrome polish. After that i applied Swissvax Cleaner Fluid and then Swissvax Autobahn to seal in the shine. here's how it looked before and a 50/50 of the polished muffler i polished the little badges on the pipes as well and here's the swissvax Autobahn, left for 30 minutes to set. and after, it shined like never before! and now back to polishing. a few shots after 2 passes of SIP the rear carbon fiber peice before and after here the left side panel is not polished, and the right side is. look at the difference in the gloss! by the end of day two, polishing with SIP was finished. Day 3 i got an early start at 8AM, first giving the car a complete wipedown with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol in order to remove any oils left behind from SIP that could be hiding any imperfections. After, i started the final polishing stage with the Detailer's Domain Blue Uber pad and 85RD. look at that gloss! this is how many pads i use per detail! after i finished polishing i took a break for lunch. When i came back i gave the car another alcohol wipedown, and started applying the Swissvax Cleaner Fluid, then following that with Two coats of Swissvax mystery, with three hours between coats. and while i waited for the first coat to cure, i worked on the interior. here's what it looked like after the Mystery wax and FK 425 And Swissvax Pneu gave the tires a perfect shine! i also applied Cleaner Fluid and Mystery to all the interior Carbon Fiber parts, including the seat backs. These Metal-Halide bulbs tell no lie when it comes ot a perfect finish! And that ended day 3. The next afternoon, i came back to take some pictures out in the sun. when i saw the car outside, my jaw dropped at the beauty of this color! and car! i thought it was really cool how all the factory workers signed the hood well i hope you all liked that! it took a lot of work! Thanks for looking! Dom |

Excellent job, as per usual! I would've been scared beyond belief to work on a car like that

Keep the detail threads coming, I learn so much from them. Do all cars get this a treatment?
