My buddy tuned his '11 135i DCT with JB4 last night so we went and ran them. My M3 has BPM stage 2 with DCT tune. I'm amazed with the way the 135i wrapped through 2nd gear. If you hear and watch closely by the time he's shifting into 4th I shift into 3rd. I checked the gearing ratios and they are almost identical. None the less, a super friendly pull with a good buddy is always a blast.

He's rocking stock 18's to my 220m 19's. Pretty sure that's going to help a bit. Other than than no, he's had it a month, but has big plans with more bolt ons in the future. I'm not so excited for the day I get rocked.

I have both cars. E92 m3 with catless x-pipe+BPM tune vs 2011 135i with cobb + FMIC +maddad axleback. 135i kills m3 from 0 to 100. Its not even close. We didnt try to see what happens after 100mph, because COPS are hiding around every corner over here, but i think m3 will walk away from there.
If you race him, i would suggest to do it when ambient tempr. is around 50s or lower with low humidity. S65engine loves cold air.

On this particular night temp was about 38 F, so I guess I took advantage of that. I just ordered my Dinan intake which I know doesn't produce tons of power per dollar, but trying to stay ahead of the curve as long as I can.

Crazy you have both. That's awesome! One for you and one for the wife?

No. both are my personal cars. Nobody but me is allowed to drive them. Wife has Audi A6.
I modded bothe and both are track warriors and daily drivers. I like 135i more as a daily, because of torque.

Nice vid!

So the 135 only has a jb4 tune? Makes sense. If he gets FBO's, he'll take you. Meth and/or e85 and it gets worse.

Still, the m3 is more than just a highway blast, which the 135/335 cannot match. Those n54's are fun though! I loved mine!
