Place order with performance steering wheel

Does anyone know it it's possible to order a 2013 with the M performance steering wheel already installed at the factory during production, or is the only way to get it to have it added on by the dealer. I was just curious. (not the digital one, the one with the blue stripe).

Thanks

It will certainly be a rip off type price coming from BMW itself (i.e. $800)

That's what I was thinking - I'm sure they'll do it for a rediculous some of money.

Assuming has a way of messing up any plans... you can ask your dealer to have it port-installed as well. It does not have to be via Individual.

Well it doesn't hurt to ask. When I place my order for my next M3 I'll see what they can find out.

The Performance Steering wheel is a port installed option. You can have it done before your car gets delivered to your dealer. Although, I would wait so you can have both steering wheels.

Are you leasing? If you get it from the factory, then it can be residualized.

Or it can be done at the dealer. I did this and I have both wheels.

If you have the wheel installed at the port, they will put the stock wheel in the trunk. Make sure to ask your CA to make a note on the order instructing them to save the stock wheel. Also, any performance parts installed at the port are covered by the factory warranty.

^^+1 if you have the port install the wheel make sure your CA notes to keep the stock wheel.

Purchasing it from a dealer will end up costing you a lot less, not to mention you can sell the OEM wheel as well. We charge around $620 for the wheel, whereas BMW charges $800!
