OEM 18 Rear Fit

Can I use the front OEM 18 wheels on the rear? Searched the forums and seems like I can but wanted to confirm. Front is 8.5ET29 and rear is 9.5ET23 I wanted to run a square winter setup using the front OEM 18s and 235/40 tires. I realize that in the rear, the wheel will sit in a little but not as concerned about aesthetics as long as it drives/clears everything ok.

In the above setup wouldn't the wheel be more flush than if you used 270M wheels (the bmw winter setup)? They are 18x8ET20.

Thanks

Yes. I tried it once out of curiosity. Looks set in but its fine. Clears everything without a problem. I drove around for a while until my street rears were fixed. On the front I had my street fronts and in the rear my track fronts. Both OEM 219 18 fronts.

Yes with that size it's fine but you will rub the fender liners of you try to run it with the OEM rear tire. Wheel size is fine but the tires are a little too tall.

Thanks. Not going to run the OEM rear tire (265/40). If I go with the square setup like that, I would run 235/40 (for the winter).
