Cracked piece under front end

I ran over a big dead dog in the road last week. I took some pics underneath. Kinda gruesome but it cracked a plastic piece. Is this an issue?

It was in the middle of the road and there was no way to avoid it.

Doesn't look like a big deal.. You could replace that piece if it bothers you. If it was my car I probably would, but I'm anal retentive when it comes to the car.

Just make sure that no fluids are leaking in the surrounding areas. Looks to be mainly cosmetic.

I'll replace it eventually, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't critical in some way. Fluids? Like what? Oil? Coolant? What runs behind there?

I've been checking for fluids because something got sprayed underneath all the way back to the tail pipes. I can''t see any leaks, I've run the car, checked the oil, checked the oil filler cap, oil filter housing, I think it's from the dog. I'm going to clean it all up and keep an eye on it.

cracked mine before, its not a big deal, more of an aerodynamic piece that diffuses the air into the radiator. About $150 for the part and u can swap it out yourself if you know how to remove the front bumper

part number: 51757899820

I was on the 10 freeway near Palm Springs heading east. There it was in my lane at 75 plus mph. The car that just hit it was pulled over. It was fresh. Could have been a coyote I suppose.

I replaced mine a couple of months ago. It's easy, but I had to remove some extra trim because the Bowden cables that hold part of the shield fit into some slots above it. Probably an easier way, but it only took about 20 minutes.

Clean it up and apply some black duct tape. It'll be fine.
