Well I finally drove itThe wife insisted on going with me to make sure I did not beat on her new car.Overall I am very impressed with the changes from the 07.The DCT trans is very smooth and almost imperceptable on shifts up or down and you can only hear the shifts due the sport exhaust that the IS comes with.I notice some more turbo lag than the earlier car had but that could due to not having a torque converter like the auto had.It does feel like it has more mid range but as my ears would boxed if I really got on it,no full throttle yetI think this will be a very enjoyable ride for the future

Just noticed one thing last night that does not impress me at all with this car.It has the same Bridgestone Re050a runflats with a 140 wear rating just like the 07 car had.We only got 11000 kms out of them on 2 sets before changing to non run flats.BMW really needs to do something about that!

I love the stock wheels. I was able to see them in person at BMW NA HQ last Friday. I would consider putting them on my M3 if they fit (I haven't looked into that).

I can't wait, it's a great track and always a good time. EDIT: Oh wait, I'm going to be there July 16-18 with the US Patroon Chapter and the Canadian Ottawa chapter in a 3 day combined event. I beleive there are still openings.

Nope. That car is not driven hard. Both F&R wore on the inside to the cord twice.Bitched at BMW,car was aligned on their dime.2nd set also did the same in 11000 kms.I put the Continental Contact 3's on it and about 20000 kms with no funny wear patterns and the car rode way better than the stupid run flats and had lots of life still left on them.

I know that the Friday will be more of an open lapping format. Saturday and Sunday will be more of a school format.
