In addition to the option list in my first post, I also got extended Black Novillo. Not too many with this option, but I think it looks really great.

I got some wonderful pics of the car today in Austria, I look forward to sharing them when I get back home.
Nice... I assume that the weather is still great, right?

Weather was perfect in Munich and Austria. We hit the very lightest of sleet while climbing up to Davos. When we arrived it started to rain steady, but no snow falling. We head towards Bellagio in the morning and everything should be cleared up, and nice temps.

You can still have it dropped at the PC for no charge. It is about 1-2 days more on the boat and a blast to drive at the PC. Google Tail of the Dragon if you need more convincing.

Nice ride and congrats!

Actually, I'm in Bellagio Italy right now, our last evening here.

Italian roads suck, and the roads and parking spots are tiny.

Yes they do. Watch out for the Italian drivers, they are not great either. Only reason I asked is that I am located not far from where you will drop off your car. About an hour south of Morfelden which the actual place you will drop the car off for shipment to the USA. How did they treat you at the Welt? The family and I were very pleased how well they treated us. The wife loved the food spread they have for people that pick up their new BMWs there.

Hey Sam, good to meet you at Welt, and I'm sure you're enjoying the car just as much as I am. I totally agree with you, the thing drives like a dream. That engine sound is just so nice.

We left Como last night and are now at Zermatt, but so far the weather has been very cooperative. Got through the Grossglockner (ran into Brad on the way down, BMW messed up his car order!) and down to the Dolomites, where I awoke the next morning to a few inches of snow, but the roads were clear and we escaped without any problems. Haven't been able to hit the Furka pass yet, which I would like to do, since it reportedly has snow, so we had to take Simplon Pass from Como up to this area.

Oh, and totally agree, the scariest moments were driving those Italian roads up on the way from Como toward Bellagio. I take it that road lines are merely suggestions in the eyes of the Italians.

The Welt was fantastic. All I can think about is "when can I go back"?

Can you recommend a self service car was near the Frankfurt drop off location? I need to find one tomorrow ASAP.

Ha! Ya, I'm rather happy to be past those Italian roads. We got snow overnight when we stayed in Davos. We waited until the roads were clear to leave, but my car is of course filthy right now

Right around the corner there is a carwash. Not a hand wash but gets the job done. I actually wound up doing Stelvio. Here is a link to some pics http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1#post10680855
