FS: OEM 19inch 220s & Apex Track Wheels.
Also, selling my APEX ARC-8 Track wheels.
$900--- 18x10f with 275/35/18 NT05 18x10.5r with 285/35/18 NT05 Tires has a good track weekend left on the rears and a few more on the front. They performed much better than expected so far. But I'm selling because I dont want to risk the car out on the track anymore and I may even sell it. ( no rubbing ever. )

Flav - Don't sell the car. With the E36 going into track duty, are you going to keep the F/I?

I'll keep the F/I for a while. But not sure. You interested in buying it? haha... I'd sell you the whole car for the right price. I have been toying around with the idea of a e46m for a track car.... who knows...

I'm trying to sell more cars from the stable so once I get my E92 this summer we only have 3 cars. Not sure if the E30 or E36 will be sold. E36 and E46 make nice track cars. E36 is lighter, so less tire wear, and more direct steering feedback, and throttle that isn't drive by wire. E46 will have more power, more stable handling, but more expensive to maintain.

My observation is that a stripped out E36 is one of the harder cars for me to catch at the track. Its light and still has good power and low end torque.

I can hang with them in my 330 in the turns but they will slowly walk away from me on the straights with the shorter gearing and DCT.

I look forward to it...it might be the first ever AA twinscrew gathering. Is your car still running rich?

Yeah, Id rather it running rich than too lean... I'm getting some boost gauges installed .... I might at that point custom make some pulleys for different levels of boost and find one that fits the bill for rich/lean ratio...

What I learned is a vacuum leak could cause your car to run rich. Unmetered air causes the computer to increase the fuel trims and start dumping fuel...causing your car to run pig rich. I believe that at idle, where my car ran like crap, there would be a leak from the manifold/compressor joint. Then when you get under boost, it would seal the joint, kind of like suction. So the computer would increase the fuel trims at idle as a part of adaptation, thus, the car would run rich under boost due to no unmetered air and the joint sealing. I'm guessing because I didn't spend as much time under boost as I did under vacuum that the DME would not adapt itself. That would also explain my mix of rich and lean codes. You can check 2 of the top bolts...you'll have to pull the assembly to get the bottom bolts. Or have a triple jointed wrist. Wouldn't hurt to rule it out. Oh yeah...hope you sell your wheels.

I am not sure I remember the subject of this thread, but while you two F/I fools are fighting it out, don't forget to look in your mirror and give me a point-by.
