Oct 201 NJ BMWCCA DE @NJMP
We had a great few days on Lightning with our VF supercharged E92 On Day 1 we had a few people driving the car to get a feel for it. On Day 2 Tony (VAC owner) decided to spend the day in it and have some fun. The R888s held up, the Brembo street pads started to show weakness and the TC Klein suspension was OK. Still need a sway bar and better suspension. We hope to have it out this weekend with some Porsches. (should have better brake pads) It was nice to see other E9x cars out there...hopefully we will see more next year!
Cool quote from our friend, a regional SCCA champ: "The sound of ur car is intoxicating but didnt transfer well in the video. you really need to hear/feel it from behind at full throttle to appreciate. It sounds like something exotic... I could literally feel it in my chest as I was entering on the straight. I had no choice but try and catch you to see what the hell was making that noise. "

Not sure on the lap times - he was just out having fun. I will ask today! Very high 400s on our Mustang dyno the last time we checked on a non final time. The car hauls

I didn't get a ride with Tony, but I saw him in my mirror. I was driving the white E90 pictured above. I only have 206rwhp, so he left me for dead on the front straight. He was practically over the hill on turn 1 before I even started my braking. I don't think the 458 Italia pulled as hard on the straights as that VAC E92.

Very cool guys. I'm really looking FW to next season, I want to spend some time in a car or 2, not just taking pics of them
The E92 should be a real animal once we get a sway bar, 3 way suspension, proper brake pads and real tires on there. I will point Tony to this thread!
