What are my chances...

..of snagging a 2013 GS 350 F-Sport at or near invoice? Going to the dealer tomorrow and really want this car but I ain't playing no games with finance managers or any other nonsense. Lexus is offering $2500 bonus cash on the GS right now so I imagine they aren't exactly flying off the lot and both Edmunds and KBB place fair market value at just $500-$1000 over invoice but most luxury car dealers tend to pucker up tighter than a snare drum whenever you start talking about invoice pricing.

How well did you guys do recently with your BMW's? Are the 5's going for anywhere near invoice these days? I'm even considering trying a lease broker like Best Buy Automotive because I really want this car but need it around $650/mo...

My advice is to know what invoice pricing is when you walk in the door (also on Edmunds). The worst thing you can do is walk in and say "I want this car for invoice" straight away - that'll sour them immediately. Also, you can do most of this over the phone which will help you feel out the dealer before heading over. $1,000 over should not be a problem at all but you may have to work a little more charm for $500 over. You're already getting a nice deal with the $2,500 bonus cash. I hope this helps.

I think at invoice would be difficult but near invoice sounds reasonable with the incentives. I would just speak to the online sales manager directly through email.

I don't know but I test drove one a few months back and I was reasonably impressed to the point where I would probably look at the GS350 F sport over a 535i (but not over a 550i or M, of course).

I don't particularly like the predator grill, but as far as driving dynamics go it's actually a very very good car.

Got them to do $53k minus the $2500 rebate so the deal looks really good! Will post up some pics later with initial impressions. Thanks guys!

Not exactly a fair comparison as the GS350 is more of a direct competitor to a 528i with M-Sport Package, or at best a 535i, not the 550 (which would probably be a competitor for the IS-F)

OP - Congrats on the vehicle! What color did you get, can't wait for pics.

Why would you say that the GS350 compares to the 528i?

528i uses a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter engine 240HP engine vs the 535 uses a 6 cylinder 3.0 liter engine 300HP while the GS350 uses a 306HP v6 engine.

The GS350F is comparable to the 535 performance wise, price, and MPG.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. I just said 528 because that is the base model 5, which is exactly what the GS 350 is, the base model GS. The F-Sport is just an aerodynamic package, just like the M-package so it makes no real performance difference. If anything, the main point I was trying to make is that of course a 550 or M5 would outcompete the GS 350.

Back on topic, OP - Beautiful! White with gunmetal wheels, I really like that combo. Only thing that makes me cringe is that those parking sensor nipples protrudes too much! I like the new BMW parking sensor designs where it's flush. Otherwise,

I think price wise when you option up the 5 to match the standard equipment on the GS350 the GS350 F-sport competes with the 528i.
