And....it's probably already sold out. We passed on that weekend due to potential for weather. Weather is the worst here in February.

I think the attraction of a Feb event is the race to be the first...but that has been done and gone.

I think the scenario of 37 degree rainy weather is more likely. That sounds terrible...wait? I already did that.

First weekend in Feb is another club at $850 for three days limited to 135 cars. Too rich for my blood.
I'll be racing there the second weekend in March and we are supposed to run the full course.

I can wait as well. Well, I kind of have to wait since I'm moving soon. But the BMWCCA event falls on a weekend I'll be back in TX. The hard part is getting my wife on board.

I've been forced to drop out of the MVP event due to scheduling issues. Has there been any word of when BMWCCA will have a trackday there?

Tentatively 22-24 March but I think that might have changed.

If it was Chrysler or GM I'll be quite pissed.

I got an email last night that the contract is wrapped up for BMW CCA. June 7-9 will be a race / DE event. Oct 4-6 is looking to be racing (only?). And I confirmed the FULL COURSE will be used. I plan on breaking in my rookie racing license in style with you guys in Texas!!

Edit: Not sure on the course configuration for DE, but somehow I doubt it would be different than what the racers see. Also, it does sound like DE registration will be limited to those who've run with the TX chapters in the last 2 years before they open it up to the region... then to current CCA members... then to non-CCA members (who would of course have to join in order to register).

i got that email and from what i understand, the june race will have 1 race group plus 3 DE groups plus 1 instructor group.

Oct will have 2 race groups (probably a premier race plus an enduro) and maybe cut one of the DE groups to accomodate the extra race group.

Really? Hadn't heard that. News to me. :-)

Let me know when you figure it out so I can implement it.

I heard a substantiated rumor that all DE's have been cancelled for 2013. Would that include this?

^I was wondering the same. Wish it wasn't true.

Wonder if MVP Track Time will get theirs in since it's already sold out?

The substantiated rumor is that all DE's are shut down. SCCA, PCA, BMWCCA, TDE, MVP, ABCDXYZ...all. There is lot of speculation as to why.

If true, I would guess that they want to keep the track pristine. They don't want supercharged 330s leaking various fluids and catching fire on the track. Although catching fire might be preferable because it burns up all of the spilled fluids. All that's left are char marks.

You ruined it for all of us! Maybe if we promise to not let you on the track...

Actually hoping for next year or maybe in August when they would have a hard time scheduling a race (but probably not a concert).
