Now that BMW has gone turbo with the M3, I would've expected at least 490 hp. But to switch from a NA V8 with 414 hp to a turbo (designed for fuel efficiency and more hp) with only 430 hp is dreadful. And they'll be charging near $90k for a fully loaded one so thanks but no thanks.

gt3 if you have the ability to sign your own name and m4 if you have brain damage beyond that.

OP I say get the M4. If you get the Porsche you would have to make new friends on the Porsche boards, and I am not sure they would tolerate your insecurities and indecisiveness as well as this nice bunch here. Lol

I kid. Sort of.

question: what would be the Porsche equivalent of the E92 M3 or M4? 997 c2s / 991 c2s?

Lmao p car fanboys. The only one who is a fanboy is the ones who think the m4 is a superior performance car to a 135k Porsche that

-was faster around a track than a McLaren mp4-c
-traps almost 130mph
-weighs just over 3100 lbs
-runs the quarter mile in low 11s
-is based on the awesome new pasm suspension and longer wheelbase

Oh, and haven't driven a 991 of any kind almost certainly.

Seriously, I have and love and m3, but who the hell thinks it's a better car than a 991 gt3?
But the m4 has a carbon fiber roof...brace...thingy!!!!!!!!!! Lol

Would love a gt3. Maybe in a few years.

exactly. you have to drive one to appreciate the car. balanced, powerful, brakes perfectly, slides through corners neutrally. its a perfect car.

How is this even a legit question? The difference in these cars is quite substantial, it's like asking Golf GTI or m3?

Impossible to compare them...

For DD, the M4 is the best choice

If you can afford a second car for weekend drives or as track toy, then the GT3 is the best car

Yes gt3 for sure. In a heartbeat.

Actually in regards to allocation I've found a couple dealers that do have them for march 2014 deliveries. Problem is they are asking $10k over sticker to secure those allocation spots.

Not sure if I want the first my either. Maybe wait till they work out any kinks.

I'm not a big fan of paying msrp. In fact I've never paid msrp for any car ever. For the gt3, I will. But the 10k premium I can't stomach. I don't need it THAT bad. So I don't mind waiting to get on a list for 2015s.

We'll I have a 2013 991s now and just got an allocation for a 991 GT3
Should be here early spring so you can guess what my answer will be.

Really not a comparison between the 2 cars since the m3/m4 doesn't even really compare to the 991s
