Care and Maintenance of Black Rims?
Maybe I should have asked this question prior but I just thought of it. I purchased a set of black Alufelgen SF71 rims to use with my Dunlop Winter 3D tires. I am not sure whether they're painted or powder coated but I have to figure that if they get scratched or dinged they're going to show silver. I love the way they look and am more then happy with my selection. I just hope that the color lasts and am wondering what your experiences have been.
Thanks! Jeff

I'm in the same boat with some gunmetal Alufelgen CS7s. Never thought about it either.
Have you received your wheels yet? My Dunlops were on backorder forever - over a month and I still don't have them yet.

Yes, got them last week and they look great. Heard that the Winter 3D is on backorder but I can't understand why. They should be plentiful this time of year.

Yes, the wheels are metal underneath (silver). If you curb them or get rock chips it will show through. As far as care goes, just keep some good wheel wax on the them and try not to let too much brake dust accumulate, especially during the rainy season.

Guess I'll be switching to Sottozeros or Blizzaks for the next set.
