(For those that don't know, it uses a modified V12 from the 850i)

This car will always be a legend in its own right. At the time of its production there wasnt really any car to compare it to... And today it still has a road presence unlike any other

The engine in the Mac F1 is in no way related to the 850i engine...except the Roundel and cylinder count.

I remember reading that the headers on the McLarens v-12 cost more then the entire 850 engine.

thats almost 10mil in todays money on that last picture.

the engine was built in a hurry from scratch by Mpower but i dun think it was a derivative from 850i.

i'd say its way more than 10 million. A normal McLaren F1 goes for about 2 million today, but in that pic those are all the track ready ones such as the LM and others. So i'd say its much more than 10 million!

Monster of a car, both from looks and performance. Top Gear did a sprint race with it and the Veyron, and even with 4 wheel drive and 1000Hp, and newer technology, the Veyron struggled to beat it in a straight line. All hail Gordon Murray and company for making that car happen.

Knowing that Ralph Lauren lives a half hour from me with 3 in his stable makes me crazy. I want a McLaren F1 more than my next breath.
