Also, I am looking for something comparable in Northern CA. Anyone suggest any good dealers up here?
Sorry guys, I haven't made the order yet because I'm still trying to work out my financing. I'll let you know once everything is finalized.

PM me and I'll get you his info. Couple of people here have gone with him since.
Was this for an ordered car?

Mine was not an ordered car, but I did hear that he was giving away ordered units for about the same discount. Internet Sales Mgrs make their money more from number of units sold vs profit margin especially in this economy.

One of my really good friends is a GM for a Toyota Dealership and he is ready to lose a little $$$ on deals if it means getting his numbers up from what they are. Units sold are almost as important to managers as profit margins and seeing that margins are basically gone in this economy, unit numbers are all they have right now.

They are wiser to follow this philosophy, especially in this economy! The more they sell with small profits, the more product gets out there, more word gets out on thier dealership to go there, and when the economy returns (hopefully it will) then they will have new customers not only to sell cars to, but also have service done on them. It's seeing the larger picture than focusing on the NOW big profits.

Anyway, I got an '08 E90 M3 (on lot) from BMW N. Scottsdale this past Oct. for Invoice, only after using a guaranteed sale from Shelly BMW in CA as leverage. Tell that stupid salesperson, that we are buying these car for the prices you are quoting from this board!

True. But it makes me wonder why they got rid of the 2.9% APR on the other cars like the 335i? I was considering settling for a 335i sedan instead of the M3 but now they raised the rates to 2.9.
