It all depends on your driving style. Theoretically you could probably get 12-16k out of them if you are babying the car and mostly long high way miles vs you are beating the crap out of them then in that case you could probably get 4-5k out of them. It all depends on your driving style. Ive got 13 k on mine and still have a good ammount left. Id say about 8-9 k of those miles on computing from NYC to CT (all highway cruising at about 60-70 mph)
Ive also never done any burnout.

Replaced Rears at 24,875 (Michelin Pilot Sport) with Pilot Super Sports.

Still have maybe 4 mm ish on OEM Pilot Sports on front at 29,000 and counting.

Had to replace mine early due to a nail, an since I had a track weekend coming up I couldn't safely use a patch (wanted to get PSSes anyway), but based on tread depth I probably would have reached 2/32" replacement time at around 12K on the rears and 15K on the fronts. Those were PS2s, which have a 220 treadwear rating; the PSSes have a 300 rating. My driving is roughly 50/50 city driving and harder back road + track driving, almost no freeway driving. I don't kick the back out around turns or anything like that.

I admit I was expecting a bit more life than that but it's still worth it IMHO. The tires are great, the PSSes are a lot cheaper, and you gotta pay to play I guess!

PS2s: Rears last about 10k miles, fronts last about 20k miles. This is with "brisk" or "enthusiastic" driving, but no burnouts, launch control, or other wild stuff.

I have high hopes that the new Pilot Super Sports (which handle great BTW) will increase the mileage. Plus, they have a mileage warranty that isn't invalidated by staggered tires!

Cheers

I replaced the rear PS2s with PSS about 10k miles ago and they are nearing the end of their days. Can't praise the PSSs enough, they give extra grip but more importantly a lot of confidence and are very controllable once sliding.
I still have PS2s at the front and the overall balance of the car is just phenomenal with this mix of tyres.

do you have a source on the warranty? I just purchased PSS from costco and they said the mileage warranty is cut in half when you have a staggered setup.

If mine had come with Continentals, I imagine I would have replaced them before leaving the dealership.

I purchased mine at Wheel Works and they didn't mention the warranty being affected by setup. Perhaps they didn't know (WW is primarily a Bridgestone company)?

Oh, think that's right. But if I recall correctly, my happiness was based on half warranty being 15k miles, so if these tires don't last longer than 10k, there should be some pro-ration of the tires left when I have to replace them. A win either way.

Cheers
