It was rather quite boring. But evotv seems like they are making a comeback. Jethro is pretty good with his reviews and drives like a madman. Guess they didnt pay chris harris enough lol

Watched it last night at the gym. It was mildly interesting.
I'm just glad it wasn't a typical DRIVE video where 95% of it is just them powersliding and overusing superlatives like "fantastic" and "brilliant". I can hardly watch their stuff anymore.

the guy in this video is the same guy who reviewed the 1m coupe on EVO....funny thing is he looks way different without facial hair....he should keep it, it hides his ugly face LOL.

The CRT makes me wonder whether I should be rocking matte black grills on AW or gloss black…… Dammit

I think EVO is making a comeback as well, Jethro is one of my favorite journalists next to Chris Harris.
This wasn't the greatest of videos, but still found it super entertaining. Funny how he said that it was his favorite M3 even though it's DCT. EVO guys are big on manual cars and emotional drives so I found that interesting. CRT is a very special car though, that engine and that interior... I wish they made more. I wish BMW M would make a car like the CRT or GTS on a production basis to give us a lower cost alternative to the GT3. It makes so much sense in my book. EDIT: One more thing I want to say is that I think DRIVE is only good because of Chris Harris, their budget and ability to get INSIDE access to certain companies. EVO has a few guys that I absolutely love to watch driving. Last edited by ki__; 12-11-2013 at 03:32 PM.. |

Henry Catchpole has some really good reviews out there. This isn't one of most exciting, due to the lack of footage of the car. But he usually has a lot good technical data and conveys quite well what each car feels like when he is driving them. Him and Chris Harris are the two I enjoy watching their car reviews.

I'm having a hard time grasping what this "come back" is all about. What come back? EVO has always been at the top of its game with content and quality. Are you a mag scriber? If not, you should be.
Bovingdon and Catchpole are their best faces for video (very articulate),but the rest of the editors put up serious quality articles and deserve equal attention. There really isn't an enthusiast mag that's on the same level. If you're basing your ideas of EVO off of their video output then you're really just skimming the top of the surface. They never needed Harris (even though he'll remain one of my favorites).

It was hard watching this guy complain about the DCT then go on the 'ring and not even use the paddle shifters.
Even harder was seeing what became of the CRT they saw on the road.
