Help from someone in St. Louis

I'm looking to buy an M3 from a small dealership in St. Louis and would to pay someone a $100 to just go check it out and test drive it and provide some feedback before I make the haul out there myself from Knoxville, TN.

Love the forum and would appreciate any help!

Dude, I would love to get paid $100 to do this. Not in STL though.

If the car is sold at a BMW dealership and is under warranty the dealer may provide a free point inspection. If it's not a BMW dealer, pay for a point inspection at a BMW dealership. Should only cost $150 or so. In terms of test driving, bite the bullet, fly out and do it. No person can tell you anything you would want to know. We can't tell you if clutch feels bad or engine making weird noise or anything like that. Sorry

Also in St. Louis and quite willing to check it out... but others got here first LOL.

Seriously, get yourself a PPI as well. You'll have to pay for it but it's worth it. I'd suggest either Plaza BMW or Autohaus BMW for your PPI... the dealer should be willing to take it there if they want to make a deal. Alternatively you can get one of the St. Louis contingent to volunteer to go do it... though obviously that can take a couple of hours. I know the service managers at both of those dealerships and they're worth it. Suntrup... uuuuh... yeah. Let's just say I've had some issues with them...

Also, if buying an M3 up here then maybe try to schedule an evening out with some other M3 owners here in town when you come up. Might be cool to have an impromptu get-together and I can suggest a few good places.

I'll also get into the volunteer pool if I could be of any help. I would love to meet up if you make the trip here.
