I like the tinted tails, but they are a wee bit too dark for me.

It looks a bit too dark, probably because of the white car. I think it would look better with a different color. But then, I'd really have to see it IRL. I like how it matches the tinted windows.

BTW, what's involved in doing this? Do the lights or light covers need to come off? Is it a DIY?

Funny, I feel the same exact way. Only other thing im gonna do is Paint the M emblem black and spring time is will b getting glat black wheels with some white in them. It will b a surprise but sick. Brembos are on my list to get but no yet, since these are still brand new and under warranty. But first thing ima do once warranty is up is a 12pot in the front and 6 pot in the back. RED

i have a couple questions...did you do it yourself? if you did, with what paint and your method? if you had it professionally done, did you just go to a familiar body shop? if so, how much $$?

btw for those who care...i bought the tail light tint, installed it, and removed it. it looked like shit.

Nope, brought it to a shop. I think its not regular paint. And the darkness u want depends on how many layers they put. Yeah the tint is dorrible. 160
