ED - Drop off location in Munich
I recently recall, reading in the forum here, that the drop off location for our cars after ED delivery has changed. Is this correct, in BMW Canada site it is showing the drop off is still:
Munich Vikase GmbH Robert Bosch Strasse 11 85748 Garching Phone: +49 (0) 89 30 760 1920 Email: drop-off@vikase.com Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m., and Saturday by appointment only Any ideas if this is the right drop of point still? Thanks!

LOGINOUT GmbH - Airpor Munich Terminalstrasse Mitte 20 85356 It is right at Terminal 2 (opposite the Airport Kempinski Hotel). That is the drop off location that I used, and then grabbed my flight. Super convenient. I was a little apprehensive as it was different than the paperwork I had received from BMW to that point. But my car subsequently showed up on the Harms tracking as it would have had I dropped it off at the (far less convenient) Garching location.

There used to be two drop points in Munich. Now there is only one. The airport.
My car at the Airport Drop off point a little over a week ago.

It was pissing with rain on the day I left. So was a lot less fun packing the child seat in to a box etc... at that spot. I parked diagonally between the LOGINOUT bollards though. Now my car is on a boat, just here: Did your car make it on to the Fuast (that departed Bramaheaven on the 30th March)? I guess that was the day after you dropped off, so would have been tight.

The complete process took 30min for me but there was no one in front or behind me. I would estimate 45min-90min to just be on the safe side.

They were training a new girl so that made things take a little longer. But it was also raining, which made the inspection go a little quicker. :P They estimated to me on the phone it would take 20 mins. I can believe that had it not been painfully slow watching them walk the new girl through each step. Hopefully you are flying a star alliance carry and have status, then you can chill in the lufthansa lounge if you arrive early. EDIT: Mine was also a little more complicated as they do so few Canadian deliveries, they had to start over when they realized it wasn't going to the US and they had to fill out a different system.

Exciting when you get the welcome package through eh? For me it was confirmation that they still had my options correct.

When you first check in for ED before the actual collection you are supposed to indicitate with the "PA" Paperwork Advisor where & approximately when you will be dropping off the vehicle. They will contact the drop off point with your intentions right then if they are open to make sure that there will be no surprises or conflicts. They even gave me pre-printed instructions on how to spot the drop off point at the airport. I had the address in my Nav as well. It was very easy & seamless.

I still recommend calling ahead closer to the drop off date. As I was able to ensure I wasn't waiting behind someone else that way. I didn't bother programing in to the NAV. I just hit "Airport" and then once at the airport the Hotel Kempinski signs". it is very easy.
