Lower the front only on an e90?
Has anyone only lowered the front? I love the raked look and really don't care to have my rear wheels tucked. IMO the rear of my e90 looks perfect, but the front could stand to come down a bit. I did a search but didn't see anything specify to this.

I have Eibach springs on my FO M3 and it lowers the rear to about ZCP ride height and the front a little more so it's pretty much level with the rear.

I had the same idea with my e92, I put the front on first and was like, damn that looks good like it is, then I changed the rear and it is even better. MSPORTWORLD is right the front drop is a noticable amount while the rear is slight. Just a fudge lower than my wifes e92 328. Her car always had less fender gap from factory.

I'm glad someone else posted this *Lol*. E90 here, as well. I recently went to a
front - rear 19x8.5 - 19x10.5 255/30/19 - 295/30/19 and I have a set of GC coilovers and camber plates. I *love* the ride height in the back, but I want to bring the front down a bit, and I've been toying with the idea of just dropping the front. |

If you are talking about putting lowering springs only on the front and keeping the OEM springs on the rear then that is def not recommended. The springs should remain a matched set.
If you are talking about using coil-overs and only dropping the front, that can be done but may have adverse affects on handling. Someone with more knowledge can chime in on the intricacies. On a side note - I agree that the rear sits perfectly while the front could use a ~ 1" drop. |

I'm currently on Eibach's too. They'll maintain the raked look and your rear wheels won't be tucked. Actually, they'll give you just a hair more rake than stock.

My understanding (from Malek @ MRF) is that increasing the rake will adversely impact the handling, specifically nose dive and the rear will feel less planted.

There is a guy on here who only lowered his front. I forgot his name, but I think hes from Honduras or something... maybe Im totally wrong.
I don't think those perches are for M3. They are for 3 series only I thought.

But again, I would not lower just the front of this car.

I just checked my car, its a 2 finger gap in the front, 1 in the rear. I want that front end down.
How close are Eibach spring rates to stock? I bet it wouldn't be that noticeable in terms of handling. I know its taboo around here but has anyone ever cut their stock springs? I did in on my 03 Cobra and couldn't tell the difference. |

With sleeve overs, people do exactly what you and I want, equal gap. But I guess that's not good for handling either. So to me, just do whatever works for you. I mean, most m3 owners don't even track it. So if it looks good, rides nice and you're happy, do it!
