Clear Bra Questions...

I am taking delivery of my new 2011 Interlagos Blue E92 on 11/29. I have an opportunity to get the 3m clear bra installed on the full bumper, complete hood, complete fenders, mirrors and side rockers for $1100. I have seen the installers work the other day on a new ZR1 and it was absolutely flawless. Best I have ever seen. Would you do this over just doing standard installation. If so, why?? I think the price is too good to not pass up. What are the downsides of getting the full hood and fenders done?? I am picking the car up via Performance delivery and trailering home and straight to get the bra installed.

Do it! Sounds like a great price, especially if the install is flawless.

About the same pricing I got however you should look at VentureShield which is also a 3M product now which gets much better reviews than the original 3M material.

im only doing the full bumper cuz 90% of rock chips happen there near the nice lookin curves and air dams...i dont want shit on my powerdome....but if u gonna lower the car, u should get the front of the hood, cuz that 1 inch height diff makes a worldof difference when theres high flyin rocks...my last car was slammed on coilovers and the front end of the hood got fucked...whereas stock height car only got rashes on the bumper and minor stuff on the hood.

Just be sure to find an installer that has much experience. In the past few years, the industry has seen a high turnover rate and with many new installers coming to the market, there is much inexperience in the industry now.

I totally agree the installer will make or break the project. I have to point out to people that the car in clearbra'ed which i think should be everyone's expectations.
