Yes, usually it should not take this long. They say it takes 4-6 weeks for East Coast and 6-8 weeks for West Coast United States.

I dropped it off nine weeks ago in Frankfurt! It was caught up with the shipping company in Germany, and now is stuck in Customs (four weeks today). A buddy who dropped off in Frankfurt the same day told me his car arrived NY even before mine left from Germany!

BMW North America has been great about expediting as much as they can.
