Let me hear your exhaust!!!

It's about that time of year again where I'm looking for a new exhaust. I'm running the OEM perf mod/stock xpipe right now and looking for something a little louder/better tone but not deaf louder. Prefer to keep factory x pipe but willing to do secondary cat/resonator delete, etc.

Currently looking at:
Akra slip/evo
Eisenmann Race
Remus Race (Thanks huyner328)
Dinan slip on
Active Autowerke (Thanks M3SQRD)
ACM Mod (Thanks xcharlesy)
M Performance (Thanks Sandman99)

Open to suggestions as well, I DD my M.

If anyone is running one of these exhaust and willing to meet up, let me know. I'm located in Clarendon.

Thanks
Luc

Race exhausts drone. Akra is very much like the stock or acm mod. Dinan is a great sounding piece. U fortunately you need to hear the Exhaust sounds in person to make a better decision everybody's different and everybody enjoys the exhaust sound differenty

Luc,

You could’ve listened to my Akra last Sunday at Raja’s. I suppose you were too busy with the trim wrap.

You can listen to it anytime. I’m in Gainesville though

Similar boat as you OP, looking at a new set up, im on stock -_- . How was the Sound of the exhaust you listend to

I'm assuming its similar to the ACM mod? I was thinking of going for that. IDK if you were driving on highway vs street, but I was looking to add more to my sound profile as I drove in City.

ACM mod is great. It's loud(not blow out your ear drums loud) past 3k rpms and but under that sounds like stock with more balls. The drone is there but it's very little and you can easily DD with it. M performance is a great DD exhaust and the tone is very exotic but I don't like it because below 5k rpms, it sounds like stock. But even past 5k it's not loud, just a little louder than stock with a nicer tone. ACM mod is way better for the city because everyone will hear you and it'll make every pedestrian within 10 feet deaf.

Another exhaust you might consider is the OEM perforated pipes mod. It's a little quieter than ACM but is loud enough to have a presence in the city. There's also absolutely NO drone.

Here's a video of my car with OEM perf mod driving through the city.

bro! thanks for your reply! I miss the "loud" make pedestrian turn sensation I used to experience when my family had an AMG. I don't mean to be an asshat, it's just an added bonus to have an agressive profile on the streets, especially in NYC with the nutjob cabs and what have you. Eventually I'd like to switch to a Mesitershaft setup but perhaps late summer.

again many thanks for the reply!
