Pre-purchase inspection Queens / LI

Hey Folks,

A friend is mine is looking to purchase a 2003 M3 convertible in the Queens / Long Island area. Can someone recommend a shop that does a thorough Pre-Purchase Inspection? What would be the price ranges for these inspections. Since this is an E46, friend is concerned with the VANOS and the subframe crack issues.

dealer could do it. might pay a little more but could save him from a nightmare.

Umm, why not just take it to a dealer there? You guys live pretty close. Its not like you are 10 hours away. Just drive down on the weekend. Easy.

It might be a long trip but Rogue Engineering in Ramsey NJ have saved a lot of people from troublesome E46 issues esp. subframe and VANOS issues.

+1 Saved my buddy over $1000 and was worth the 45 minute drive. Very knowledgable on the e46, their bread and butter.

Just curious on the color of the m3 because I've seen one for sale in queens next to best buy on northern blvd. looks nice and asking price is 13k I believe.
