My first BMW purchase, but Motorwerks couldn't be better so far.
Diffuser is a Vorsteiner (see link).
I didn't care for the full bumper width versions; like the looks of this one.

Thanks for info. I don't like full bumper either. Motorwerks is a great dealership and service is better. I went with knauz in lake bluff because they are the Costco BMW dealership and I live closer. I posted on other thread, but I believe our M's will b on same ship.

Mine has also been at the port awaiting shipment (for 3 days now). I wonder if we're all on the same boat?

Let's hope the boat isn't the S.S. Titanic!
There would be no do-overs now.

EDIT: just got an email from dealer, minor status change to '193' ; Arrived at Port of Exit. (Guess it's "officially" there now)

Well I just spoke to BMW 800# for status update. None. Same status for 7 days now.
That adds an unexpected week (so far) to my delivery schedule, unless it's ahead of my update...
Anybody know if this is typical?

i think that's typical. my dealer told me that, after being manufacture, that the car would likely wait a week for transport. most likely because of waiting for other cars to fill up the vessel.

makes sense to me.

How long did you sit at port of exit?
I've been there 10days now and just called; no update.
Starting to think they pushed it off in the ditch and forgot about it! :

I'm still there; 14 days tomorrow. Dealer is inquiring to BMW Germany. They say I'm now on the extreme far end of normal "at port" time.

I wanna say I ended production 6/21...once it got to "awaiting transport at the port of exit" I didn't get any updates from the phone or website for several days. Then all of a sudden the phone service stated that it was enroute, with the website updating later in the day.

I wasn't religiously checking the marinetraffic website nor the W&W website, but that got updated on 6/28. According to the W&W website, it was loaded 6/23 with the itinerary having it dock in Baltimore 7/5. If I back calculate the days, I'm hoping it'll be here for me to take delivery on 7/12, which would be great since I have the whole day off. I really was hoping that it would be here before the 4th, but I guess that was wishful thinking.

They're referring to Wallenius Wilhelmsen's website: www.2wglobal.com -- You can enter your VIN as the Cargo ID on their Track and Trace link to get tracking information on your vehicle if they've got it in their possession.

In my case, I dropped off my M3 in Frankfurt on 5/30 -- was not loaded onto the ship until 6/18 -- so it can definitely take some time at port. Mine is on the Tombarra which just docked in Halifax today -- should be in GA 7/7, and hopefully FL about a week later, can't wait!

call your CA today....they will have more specific infer that the 800# doesn't have. like the ship's name your car is on.

it should be on a ship by now.

had to call my CA for specific info, like the ships name.....which is the Aniara.

anyone else on that ship?

it's set to get to California on the 24th, but i'll have an install of my M PE so that should take another week. i bet it's at my dealer the first week of august....which is when i always expected it.

so i just accessed this site, and it revealed different info that what my CA gave me.

what she did get correct was the name of the ship and the ETA of the cargo. but my car was actually booked on the 26th and loaded on to the vessel yesterday...7-1-13.

if any of you are listed at the port and have a VIN#, i recommend going to that site.

i'm almost positive we're on the same ship.

get to that link in the post above, go to "track & trace" on the lower right hand side of the screen. use the "all users" link and enter your VIN# where it says cargo ID.
