BMW Performance Splitters Removal

I'm considering the purchase of a car that has these installed. Will removing them mess up or show marks/holes from the mounting hardware?

That depends if betalink or 3m tape was used. If betalink was used it's permanent. If 3M tape was used then it's extremly easy to remove.

Why remove them though they are a $600 part?

I thought these were also mounted using hex screws.

Anyway, I'm not entirely sold on the look of them regardless of what they cost.

I'm with you dude. To me, they look like a broken lip. If yours are glued on, you could get a new aftermarket bumper of your fancy!

The hex screws are on the stock bumper. The splitters use the stock hardware. Slide some dental floss between the splitters & bumper using a sawing motion & see if it's just 3m tape.

If you're careful there should be no ill effects from removing them.

I had mine removed to install the Vorsteiner GTS-V lip. I used betalink, and it was a very tedious process to remove them without damaging them or the bumper. There are a couple of screws on the underside, but they are OEM placed for the original bumper anyway, so no damage there.
