BTW, the dealership wants over $700 to change the plugs.

Cheers.
Not sure if you saw it but on page 2, I posted the info on how you can make one out of pvc plastic. It's also what TxStig tool is made based on. If you can't make that, you might want to try one of these that I posted on page 4:

http://www.rei.com/product/639276/pa...e-wrench-dcw-2

These works pretty good too but you have to make sure to pull straight up and not twisting the coil or else you will break the coil. Good luck.

Good luck.
I saw that, and I might just do it. Or get the 8160239 tool and mess with that to make it fit. Thanks.

BTW, do you just use your hands and pull straight up, or use some sort of lever with those tools to get the coil off?

Cheers.

I only used the bike wrench for 1 or 5 (one of the outer most one) and it fitted perfectly and gave good leverage. I only used my hand cause I want to make sure I didn't twist or torque the tool which can break the coil top. It was more for testing my options cause I already made the pvc piece at the time. Just want to make sure I have another option in case the pvc didn't work or it breaks. But the pvc worked perfectly. I think there was another poster that pointed out the bike wrench work nicely.

Heard a rumor that the pulling tool may be available on Amazon sometime in the near future.

Cool. Glad to hear that Division M is alive and well!

I have one of your spark plug pullers. I look forward to seeing other fine products from your company in the future

If you follow this link, http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...R100-4471-3265, you'll find the plugs listed for $9.92 apiece. And, unlike many websites, [Priority Mail] shipping is a pretty tame $5.45 (to my location). Finally, for an additional discount (5%), type the following into the "How did you hear about us?" field: 116368589530852. With this discount applied, the shipped total for eight plugs is just $80.84

I haven't ever ordered from this site before. They seem legitimate. I've placed an order just now. I plan to post here once I've received the product to verify the overall experience is a positive one

BTW, one additional note: The mobile site seem to be kinda broken. I was unsuccessful completing the order until I switched to the classic/desktop site. Then, everything went through smoothly.
That code doesn't work anymore, new 5% code is '2129683319199854" for a total with shipping of $79.45. Pretty damn good.

Excellente! Thanks for the heads-up and the new code

I just ordered another set. That makes three different sets I've gotten from these guys--two for the M3 and one for a regular 3.

Agreed. I placed my order last night at 2:00 a.m. As of now (23 hours later), they're on their way to me from OH. Color me impressed. I might just them nt the weekend. If not tomorrow, then surely the day after.

Hoping to get jack pads, and wheel hangers up soon. Also waiting for the New M3/M4 as I may be working with someone to build an airbox and possible exhaust kit.

I'll be curious to see the jack pads. If you would, post here once they're up there.

Just changed my plugs. Thanks to TXStig and this:
http://www.amazon.com/Division-DM-E9.../dp/B00J9P0TYE

it made the job significantly easier. I did not need to remove the plenum. The back two holes can be a little tricky, but not too bad. Probably had about 1.5 hours total doing it. I also cleaned everything in the process. Car is running a good bit smoother now.

I disagree. I still have the scar on my hand 6 months later from the wire coat hanger slipping off the coil pack and slicing my hand on the edge of the hood above. I would have gladly paid 40 bucks back then to save the time and blood pulling those coil packs. I was calling the back two coils some very bad names that I'm sure my neighbors heard.

I got all mine out with nothing but my own hands; and they were in there 5 years. Maybe some hand strengthening exercises???

Cheers.
You can get away without using one. Just use a fishbone or a screw driver. Or you can wrap a chord around the head of the coils
I used an electrical cord and it was darn easy to pull out.

Has anyone here purchased this tool from Canada? Amazon.com will not ship to Canada.
