How careful are you went it comes to bumps/pot holes?

Just curious. As for me, I'm super paranoid and try to avoid them however I can. I kinda know what lanes in my area are pot hole heavy and which ones aren't so I avoid those.

How about you?

extremely careful with pot holes, having lost 2 rear wheels (the famous BMW Style 296) on my former Z4 to cracks. Photos in my Retired (Z4) Garage.

They had many other style wheel cracks in the UK (goggle Watchdog and cracked wheels for more information) Mind you mostly with the RFT we gladly do not run on RFT if this would be so I would not be driving this M3, on second thought I would drive the M3 only NOT with the RFT

It is wise to avoid potholes whenever possible. There are times (speed traffic conditions) that one cannot avoid them little buggers, still I'm always on guard

Very careful, but when it rains here, all sorts of potholes open up out of nowhere. Our roads have barely any thickness to them and just can't hold up to any type of abuse.

I know where the big ones are, but at this time of year in the 'burgh some minor pot holes are unavoidable.

Good thread topic!!

Lets just put in this way..people travelling on either side of me probably think I am running in race or smthing because I am in and out of lanes avoiding man-hole covers, construction plates, pot holes or any imperfections in the road for that matter..

My favorite is when I come all the way out of my lane into oncoming traffic lane and seeing some poor schmucks freak cause they think I am gonna head on them

I keep my seat high up so I can scan the entire road..I am very serious about not hitting potholes even though I have most memorized I still have to be diligent...I live in NY nuff said..

After shredding my undershield tray from behind my bumper, I have become very careful around potholes, parking headstones, and speed bumps. I was careful before, but now I park 1-2feet behind parking headstones if I can't park it in reverse!

In the last 15 months: (2) bent front rims, (1) bubble'd tire and (4) repairs to the Challenge front spoiler.

I would say I SUCK at avoiding PA and NJ potholes!

after driving low car's for a few years now it is just natural to
avoid potholes and big dips in the road. Out of all the car's I have
had I find the M to be very smooth over bumps etc.

I'm extremely careful. Philly roads suck @ss. The suspension on my 328i was alot more fragile though, especially after I added 19's. The M3 is tougher and seems screwed slightly tighter. I'm still careful as sh!t though with these holes.

You think Philly is bad, have you been to Haddonfield, NJ lately? They should just close down the entire town and start over!
