I can't stand how stretched the tires are on the zcp wheels. Not only are the rims more exposed it seems theres more rubber to be had.
I'm more of a square rubber guy lol.

So for the fronts I'm going from
19x9 ET31 ZCP
245/35/19 PS2 -> 275/30/19 PSS



For the rears:
19x10 ET25 ZCP
265/35/19 PS2 -> 295/30/19 PSS




the wider rubber will give 1in more grip per corner
I can't wait to see how the PSS's do :

I'm doing onelapofamerica.com this year on apex arc-8 wheels (18in, saves 5 pounds per corner)

More the 275 front I was interested in. I run 275/30 AD08s and they are just a little too big, but mostly due to the shoulder being pretty square compare to other tires.

I had the Pilot Super Sports mounted today on my ZCP wheels...
Went with 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear.

They look quite a bit larger on the ZCP wheels!

By One Lap of America rules, you buy them at Tire Rack street price and then they eventually give you a participant refund as a subsidy.

As of 4/6/11 the "street price" was
304.00 for each front
352.00 for each rear

No chance to drive them in anger yet, but I did notice a few things I would classify as unintended benefits:

1. On ZCP wheels PSS 255/35/19 and PSS 275/35/19 makes for a much smoother ride.
(this is true in all EDC settings)
2. Based on GPS, the speedometer error (normally reads fast) is neutralized.
(in other words, for the first time the speedo is accurate).
3. I know it is due to full tread depth, but they are very quiet compared to worn PS2s

When the mounting lube is dry, I'll give them some hell and report back.
Summit Point this weekend regardless.

PSS 255/35/19 and PSS 275/35/19

Do these sizes fit properly on the stock 19' 220 style wheels?

Also, the slightly larger diameter means the speedo error is neutralised, but at a (slight?) loss of torque. How noticable is this?

I just got 275/35/18 and 285/35/18's mounted today on apex arc-3 18x10's
The ride on 18's is much nicer than 19's!

However I find that they are actually louder. Maybe they're just breaking in. I have them filed up to 40psi for now - maybe it's too much - each bump makes the same sound as when you are bouncing a basket ball.

As far as grip this setup is much more - though I haven't pushed it much yet - I need a few more miles to wear off the molding compounds. But preliminarily since my fronts as much wider I can say it's really tail happy

I got 255/35/19 and 275/35/19.

Although I haven't driven PSS very aggressively at this point, I can say these tires are noticeably grippier than 7000miles + 7 months old Conti SC3. I even felt slight difficulty in powersliding my M3 because of superior grip and higher limit compared to Conti. As davem3fan mentioned, PSS is smoother and quieter than not only PS2 but also Conti. It'll be obvious when you drive over 40mph. Due to its square shoulder, tread seems to become a bit wider (not only 10mm, I mean) than both PS2 and Conti. I haven't checked its actual tread width, so it's just my opinion.

Since my M3 came with Conti, it is very difficult for me to compare PS2 and PSS. PSS may have better dry grip than PS2, but that's just my guess and can be wrong. However, my friend who has M3 with PS2 and I will test drive each other's car this weekend, so hopefully we will be able to see what's what.

Very nice! I plan on getting these tires in these sizes when I need my next set.

I've been looking forward to trying the PSSs, but the new bridgestone S04s have caught my attention too.

Might choose between the cheaper option between those if I decide against the "extreme" performance tires.

I'm sure both would be great. My money for which is the "best" would be on the PSS but who knows? I liked the RE050 in the past so hopefully the new ones improve on those in all ways.

I just installed a set of PSS on my stock 19s.

The fronts are stock sizes but the rears are 275/35/19 and they rub on my Dinan suspension and 12mm spacers.

Really bummed about the rubbing issue, going to take the spacers off and see what happens. They look much "bigger" than my contis.

How bad is the clearance, is it close to making it?

Getting mine installed later this week. Competition wheels and 10 mm spacers with stock suspension. Hope I don't rub.
