VIR - May 5/6th - Whose going?
I just signed up for this event through TrackDaze.
Who else is going? Ashley, MartinD?? Booked a garage condo, seemed cheap @ $100 a night. Wife might come, told her she could go shoot skeet....maybe Last edited by Brainofjjj; 03-15-2012 at 10:20 PM.. |

I stayed in Danville last time but this time I got myself a room on pitlane. Kinda spendy but I have my wife coming with me this time so she can just hang out in front of the room and watch the cars go by. This is my first time with TrackDaze also, just wondering how different they are from BMWCCA or if they are basically the same.

I will be there. I think I am already splitting a room at the lodge. I prefer to stay at VIR instead of driving 15 minutes from Danville. Biggest difference will be the cars, variety, some nice and some not so nice, I am sure they will be some NASCAR style cars there. Trackdaze is still very professional and they still focus on safety. Plus you get more track time. Aside from those, they are very similar, be prepared to see lots if Vettes.

Happy to see that you all have decided to go. I agree, well run event with very knowledgeable personnel. Sorry I will not be running with you all, but I will be there lending a hand with the Teen Driver Solution School being held at the skid pad and Pat. course. If you have time, stop by and say hello. Would be nice to meet you.

Garage condo? Is this the garage itself or the room above it? Or am I completely confusing this with the pitlane rooms? I don't want you to be in a sleeping bag in the garage if that was not your intention.... . The room I got on pitlane is 130 a night.

Yup, same here. It let me book 2 nights. Not going to be a happy camper if they make me pay for 3 nights... I'm claiming ignorance. Should work for at least one time.

The garage space is 100 a night, the rooms above the garages are separate at 130, if you want a garage and a room above it, cost would be 230 a night. I have thought about renting a garage and bringing a cot, bit that may be ghetto

Less ghetto than camping outside. And when I stuck my head into yours last time, it felt like it was heated. The only inconvinence is the restroom and shower arrangements. Trust me, I thought about it... Hehe.

There are a few garages that actually have a window AC unit in them, would would be nice if it were 100 degrees.

I will probably stay at the Lodge again. But we should chip in and rent a garage for all our gear overnight like track tires, jacks, etc. I don't really want to sleep with 4 grimey brake dusted wheels by my bed . I don't have a trailer or anything to lock them up in/to. It's $100 total/night, divided among several people would work. Anyone interested?
