Cars & Coffee 2

Sunday March 15 2009

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen, we are doing this again. The first event was a huge success. On a Sunday in February when the temps hovered around freezing there were 75+ cars. For this event Sam Lurie from The Beantown Sound and myself have graciously been given permission to use the parking lot at Trade Center 128 in Woburn. This is a new building and very clean, plenty of parking and the on site Dunkin Donuts will open for us.

***Important Things To Remember***
Please be mindful of the surroundings. Place all trash in trash bags, or take it with you when you leave. The Tradecenter has been kind enough to give us the oppurtunity to use there parking lot. This is a great oppurtunity for us so be on your best behaviour! This means absolutely NO DONUTS, NO BURNOUTS!!! If you see someone acting up, tell them to stop. Tradecenter is open to allowing regular meets to happen on the property, as long as they feel we are responsible enough

Please try and spread the word. The more the merrier! We don't know your friends, your next door neighbours, your co-workers; Reach out to them, invite them, and we can all gather and share in our passion. This event will be advertised in the area and at the office park. The event is RAIN OR SHINE. There is a 5 story parking garage with ample space for hundreds of cars. In the event of rain or snow, we will be meeting inside the garage.

Time: 9:30AM-11:30AM
Location: Trade Center 128 (Woburn, Massachusetts)
Directions: http://www.tradecenter128.com/directions.htm
Available Food: Dunkin' Donuts On Location

This is across the high way from the Woburn Movie Theatre off exit 35 on 128. From the rotary turn right onto Main St. (Route 38 North). Turn left at first stoplight onto Elm St. Turn left onto Sylvan Rd. and drive past the shopping plaza, then turn right into TradeCenter 128.

Orig post....Theres a pretty sweet flyer and a Map with directions here

See Everyone there!!

I was at the NY autoshow AMG hosted Press night when they announced that car... I have only seen one on the road but as a BIG AMG enthusiast I would say screw the BMW... bring the Black!!! There will be an SLR technician on hand as well.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. I am planning on attending. If the roads are clear, I will bring the BS. It is a very low clearance car. Are you familiar with the area this thing is held at? If so, please let me know of any surprises I may encounter. But for know, count me in.

it's literally right off 95.. which is pretty well maintained in that area.. and if you're coming from 93 you should be in good shape

this parking lot is brand new! the place just got built.. commercial spaces are still up for rent

PLEASE bring the black series.. i have always wanted to hear one in person.. plus my M3 is aching for some competition

I dont know if your M3 wants any part of that BS, lol... I love M and BMW, but AMG is STILL where my heart is... I run an AMG forum in addition to Yuppieracing.net...

You guys should check out the thread one of our members posted... He is an SLR technician... he posted a thread in our maintenance section and thread in our showroom... both filled with AMG heritage and amazingness...

DOH!!! I did it late at night... with my eyes half open... believe it or not Kev... the fact that I inflated it by ten actually makes me happy that there will be 10 less there now... Im still finding groups popping up all over the place that are coming... just yesterday I found a mazda forum that had it up on there...

With those extra ten out I still think we should see about 200-250 cars

Great, so that means it's going to be extremely crowded. Me likes

The showing was crazy… from the F430s and Maserati to the VW with the checkerboard hood (dunno who you were, but I like it) to the two NSXs that up till today, I had never seen in person… and all the crazy Subarus(love the sound of a boxer engine)… and the Mazda group who had there **** together at 8am at the movie theatre(I’m impressed how you all were so organized)… you guys made the event happen… Me and Sam just filled in all the details to support it.

Other then a few incidents that I spoke to the officer on detail about, everyone behaved. The lot and garage were left fairly clean and I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed themselves. I apologize if I didn’t get to meet or talk to everyone… I was spinning in circles bouncing from person to person. We are going to try and get a photo gallery posted up on Yuppieracing.net of the event. And in the coming week or so, will be announcing our events for the next couple months… Events include a Detail Day(seminar), Cars and Coffee, the beginning of AUTOX season and hopefully a descent gathering of cars for Hot Import Nights.

Really, thank you ALL again, and hope to see everyone at the next event!!!

Everyone else...Stay tuned closely! Pete and I have some big ideas in the works for this Spring/Summer. I'd encourage everyone to register on yuppieracing.net where a calendar of events will soon be available! It was great to see some old friends, and make some new ones. See everybody again soon!
