Arrow Öhlins TTX Coil Over for M3

Front: TTX46
through rod
solid piston
twin tube
compression/rebound independent adjustment

Rear: TTX36 Inline
twin tube
solid piston
compression/rebound independent adjustment

Honestly one of the most advanced dampers on the market. Because the piston is solid, damping is achieved by moving fluid through the external valves (where the knobs are). Öhlins even offers a Matlab-based program which can generate theoretical damping curves right on your screen.

Here's a manual for those who have a curious mind.

Thanks for the comments guys! This is our vehicle.

Once the kit is complete and tested, we will have a complete parts list and necessary modifications in order to install this kit on your car. We will be testing the car at the Redline Time Attack at Cal Speedway next month so stay tuned for some feedback!

Yes sir!
Is this kit specifically made for the E9X M3, or adapted from a parts list.

Most racing damper makers use a standard set of dampers and then add specific mounts for each application. This is a kit developed by Performance Shock Inc using existing product lines but with M3 specific mounts.

Each set will be custom valved based on the user's spring rates and set up.

They're genuine racing dampers, so they will cost north of $5k a set, probably more like $10k. I'm guessing, of course. Oh, and bring your own rebuild technicians to every event in case they need their noses wiped. A seal that spews damper oil is a sign of valor under fire, not a "leak".

These go from 4 figures to 5 figures depending on 2-way or 4-way and some other features.

These are what BMW Motorsport uses on the M3 GT4, Z4 GT3, and M3 GT2.

So who's getting a set?

We are currently working with Ohlins directly to get the Road and Track kit finished. It is being prototyped on my car at the moment. Should be finished very soon!

Did you know that Steve Dinan started his career at A&E Performance in Campbell, California? He actually owns that shop now.

It'll definitely be something. We too are working with PSI to get some nice custom valved RT kit for track oriented customers.

Just wondering how many people are going to spend this kind of money for coilover's when most don't track the car?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
