Gas 87 octane

Since the hurricane I have not driven much and now I can only find 87 octane. Will the car adjust to this or will there be damage? I have a bit under 1/2 a tank of 93 octane so it would average to about 89.5.

If I don't get this gas it is impossible to know when I will find any gas as this is the only place around with any.

You'll be fine. Just stay out of the high revs until you run a tank or two of higher octane fuel.

I was in the same boat. Filled my car with 8 gallons of 87. Finally found 93 in jersey. It sucks. I was getting awful MPG

Filling up with 87 should be fine but you will get less MPG. It is hard these day to find 93 octane. It would be a waste not to fill in some gas after waiting a long time in line just to find out that they only have 87.
