How frequently do you drive (or reach) high speeds?
I do have a need for speed, and love hearing the V8 roar as it goes through the last bits of the rev range. Typically i hit high speeds quite often when redlining 3rd,4th or 5th (only did couple times in 6th never in 7th).
With that said, i noticed that i hit 100mph (~160kph) quite frequently with 120 (~200kph) weekly or once in every other week, and 140-150 (~240kph) like once a month. Owning the same ride for the past 13 years, but i notice that my frequency of speeding started increasing How do you guys drive?

50% over here is an immediate roadside suspension for racing.
It's so easy to speed in these cars, I keep it under that but normally no more than 15% over. |

I don't daily the car so don't have that many opportunities to get that high, but thats not to say I haven't. On the drive home from picking the car up I did hit 120 a couple times, just stretching it out a bit. Nothing higher than that, though it would easily do more.
Now, my Mini hits triple digits on a daily, lol!

I keep my triples for the track these days, it's amazing that the more I do HPDE, the less I push on the street.
That being said, it's good to have regular WOT for S65 engine health, just within reasonable conditions. |
