12.8 @113 Stock E92 M3 *Video*

Hey guys! I finally got to take my car out to the 1/4 mile for the first time since I bought her almost a year ago. And am somewhat pleased with the results. She has 42k miles on her, completely factory stock except for worse-gripping all-season tires.

Here is the vid:

P.S. Quickly shifting into 2nd gear was a PITA!

Wow , nice video , I've tried all I could to make a 12sec run with my stock manuel e92 , the best I did was 13.1 at 111mph with a 2.1 60foot ! Really glad to see someone do it !!

2.1 is not bad, but practice the launch and aim for a 1.9!

Here is a little trick: lower your rear tire PSI, increase front tire PSI

The track where I go is really slipery , I run AD08 295-30-19 and I did at least 25 runs and the car just does'nt stick , I even spin a bit in third ! In what set-up(EDC ,traction control and trottle) have you done your best run !?

I don't have EDC, traction control was off, didn't even try it with on. Track conditions definitely impact your times, but the more you practice the faster you will get.

Cool , thanx for the info , I tryed a couple of run with the traction control , it was'nt faster and it was a lot more boring . lol But a guy with his old M3 supercharged was doing his best time with the traction control and he told me it was the way to go with my car ! I always had AWD cars and never had problems to do 12 sec run and this car is so much faster but it just does'nt get out of the whole . I never realized how poor quality of a track we had before ! Anyway , good video and specially good shifting !!

Nice run Kindafast,

12.8 on all-season tires is pretty darn good from my knowledge. How was the 1-2 shift during your last few runs? From your video, it looks like you're shifting pretty quick! Any transmission grind?

I had to take the 1-2 shift slower than the rest, because 2/3 times I tried to shift it very fast it would go into 2nd gear position but remain in neutral, or just not go in at all. The manuals in this car suck! No grind though.

That is freaking great for stock and considering your tires. I have a 2011 DCT e92 w full Akra Evo, AA filter, AA pulley and AA flash, RPI scoops and I ran a 12.54@112 w a 2.0 short time. I was also on my 20's w Pirellis but still. That's a great time. Be proud. Congrats. Imagine when you start modding it. Damn, makes me wonder if I got one of the slow M3's!!!!! Keep us informed of your times and mods.

This is a great time! I ran a 12.6 (at sea level) with DCT and mods. So, getting a 12.8 with a stock 6MT at (I assume) a higher elevation is impressive.
