Exhaust being replaced...
Guys..thanks to those of you who noticed my exhaust was hanging low and bouncing on the trip up to Aberdeen. My exhaust is being replaced today at BMW of Alexandria. Completely replaced.
That could have been a problem had I not known and dropped exhaust somewhere in the Catoctin Mtn Pie Run... Good lookin out! |

They are the best service department around here. I like Sterling alot as well but Fairfax will never have the opportunity to work on my car again. I am not a fan...I was so dissatisfied with them that corporate called me to investigate. However, if you feel you MUST go to Fairfax...be sure to get Frankie Johnson as a SA. She is the embodiment of professionalism and an E93 M3 driver/enthusiast.

Surprisingly, found out from my iNav console my inspection is due 08, i may take it to Alexandria. Who was your SA at Alexandria?

My SA is Maryam..she is a superstar and USED to be at Fairfax until she realized how much they are ONLY about the bottom line there. When she gave her resignation, her manager LITERALLY kicked her out (with customers standing right in front of her).
Just to recap...I have brand new exhaust installed in one day (from headers back). Car is spotless clean and everyone is pleasant and helpful. |

My exhaust bounces a bit when I go over bumps as well. Did they specify what the actual problem was? I havent had a chance to get under the car and take a look yet. I figured it might just need new rubber hangers or something was loose.

Nevermind...I discovered the problem. The welds were broken on one of the exhaust hangers. I swapped out my exahaust for a 2011 stocker that I modified so problem solved.
