Who has a production number - 2013 orders

For those of you ordering a '13, can you please post:

1) When your dealer placed your order into the order bank
2) How soon after #1 did you get your production number
3) If you have a domestic or Euro delivery

I'm reading that some people already have production numbers, so I asked my dealer, who said I won't get one for a few weeks (when production of the car actually starts). Thank you

ryan/francesca have had my specifics and my deposit for a while. afaik, she is waiting on confirmation for my first three choices for ED. i am sure whether that means it is in the order bank or not. i just want to book my flight to munich asap after i have a lock on the date.

it seems odd that people have order numbers already when someplace doing the volume that steve thomas is doing does not.

I agree that it's odd some people have order numbers already and Steve Thomas customers do not. I went with a local dealer, and he told me from the get-go it would take a few weeks after he got my order in to get a production number. So I'm trying to figure out why some dealers get production numbers sooner than others....ok, I lie. I just want my production number already

So do I. It's killing me. I already have all the carbon fiber parts and performance steering wheel and special plugs for jacking it up. The only thing holding me back from having a BBK waiting as well is confirmation that I have an order. I am ready to mod it immediately and track it right after that. Annual bonus cash burning a hole in my pocket.

I'm happy that I'm not the only one buying mods before I even have a production number

Don't worry guys I can promise you that Ryan/Checa are on it and will get you the info you need as soon as its available. They are the best in the business and you are in good hands.

For those of you who are buying mods to kill time, its a great idea~ I did that as well with my last one and the wait wasn't AS bad

I saw your order and location. My order looks a lot like yours...right down to the rear spoiler delete. Watching your mods to steer clear of two identical white Ms roaming around League City. There's not much difference between MW and AW. Are you sticking with the OEM wheels? FYI - there's another AW M around NASA (no ZCP).

The waiting is rough. C'mon production!

I got my production number locally from Passport BMW, Joern Esser, last week on Wednesday for a 2013 E92. It was the first production # I've heard of for domestic delivery, though I have seen a handful for European Delivery come out before mine.

Joern rules! He's my regular BMW guy. And his dealership is almost as inexpensive as the best discounters we all know and love - only four or five hundred bucks higher.

Congrats! How long after your order was accepted into the order bank did you get your production number?

I am not really sure. I gave Joern the list of equipment I wanted out of the 2013 ordering guide, and he confirmed the list with me on May 23rd. But I didn't think to ask him if I was in the order bank until May 30, when I heard some dealers were getting 2013 allocations. That same day he gave me a production number. So the longest it could have been in was May 23-30 (one week exactly).

As you can probably guess, I wanted to make damn sure I got a 2013 allocation slot.

I agree. Despite reassurances from my dealer that I *will* get a 2013, it's a different feeling of reassurance to have a production number

That does not make me feel good at all, I was told at Steve Thomas BMW that my order went in around May 23 and still have no news. It is for an ED in August

1) My order was placed Tues, 5/25
2) Received my production number Mon, 6/4 (so it took about a week)
3) The order is for ED

I tried to add the production number to my existing bmwusa.com account, in order to track it, but it isn't in the system yet. So it may take some extra time before you can begin to track it.

Seems the ED production numbers are coming before the domestic deliveries.
