Get the motorized front plate mount and call it a day.

I'm also guilty of using the Gominigo:

Came off right after I got my inspection sticker.

I ran my Corvette for years without the front plate and I loved the way it looked. But I got hasseled so many times and got so many tickets ($110 CAD each time. We don't get a fix it ticket) that after a while I got sick of paying the tickets or taking the day off work to go to court to fight it and I just put it back on.

Why attract unnessessary attention to you or your car? Just put your plate on and drive the car.

So you get pulled over. What your going to get out, go to your trunk then install the plate when the officer is parked right behind you? I don't know about that flying very far...

I never had to install the gominigo. I eventually moved to SC and no front plate is required here. My plan was exactly what was pointed out: "What do you mean the front plate isn't there??? I must have forgot to put it back on after I detailed the car!".

Never happened. Sold the gominigo shortly after I got here!
