2013 M3 Manual, Stalled at Stoplight when not in gear
I have an E92 6-speed base model at 47000 miles. For the last few months, the car will occasionally stall itself when I stop (usually at red light stop). At all time the car is in neutral with just foot on brake. It will just stall by itself. No start-stop engage (off at default for M3).
It happened to me a few times for the last few months (like once a month or couple months). Some other instances it will just drop in rev but regain idle without stalling. Anyone experience that in their 6-speed E9x? It is out of warranty. BTW, no check engine light or anything, just stall and restart right away. |

Does it happen just after filling with gas?

I would scan the car if you can just to see if there are any codes you aren't aware of, but otherwise, sounds like a vacuum issue. Perhaps related to the brakes or other system.

Probably fuel breather or a brake booster leak

Scan from BMW tech (for emission related repair beyond bumper to bumper warranty revel no hidden code.

Similar symptoms as you with irregular occurrences. Did a smoke test and found it to be the fuel tank breather valve.
