Used car is 7% financing, new is 1.9%, 20k off sticker covers some depreciation, we plan on keeping the car for 8-10 years at around 8,000 miles a year. With a used car, especially one of that caliber, you never know what your getting into in terms of problems and previous history.

So, you know of a place that sells an F01 for a 19k discount and 1.9% financing?

i think it's a great choice with the S550 and CLS550.. more power to you that u guys have both . they are fantastic cars. these Merc may not have the best resell value but if you planning to keep it for a while (8-10 years as you said), i think it's worth it to go new. on top of that, people who can really afford it wont be that nit picky about a few bucks here and there.. i'm sure your parents can agree otherwise they wouldnt be getting such pimpin cars.

i'd take the CLS or S class over a 7 series anyday. the S class is built like a tank and is the ultimate luxury sedan outside of the exotics (bently, rolls, etc). 7 series are too butt ulgy for my taste (new or last gen).

as far as been the negotiator, nothing wrong with that. you are helping family out, not sure why others would give you shit for it. congrad to your parents on thew new rides and post pix. i would love to get a CLS if im in the market for a lux sedan.

hahahaha, that is exactly what I thought after I posted it.

Funny thing is, the OP did such a great job at negotiating, yet when his dad drives off the lot, he'll lose $20k in depreciation.

Did the paper work!

We ended up getting a fantastic car. The key to the cure edition S550. Only 1,000 were made. The car is diamond white with a two tone beige/black interior, AMG package with 20" wheels, massage seats etc. The car is at the port now in Jacksonville FL and we will have it soon. Brand new. Oh BTW, I GOT 0.9% Interest!!!!!!!! $1,800 in interest on a 66 month term on a car that MSRP for 102k!

This is what it will look like.

I agree, the laziness on my parents' E-class Avant Garde truck closer is the best shit. Everything else I don't care about besides that haha
