More horsepower with less weight than the C7 would be a great move.
They are competitor companies that have been trying to take the others business for decades.

I read on Carbuzz it'll be offered with a 10 (ten!) speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed manual. WTF.

Maybe they can work in six wheels too. Two rear axles, one still solid for old time's sake.

The Coyote already makes around 380whp. Throw a BOSS manifold on any Coyote and there's a ~40whp increase -that's about 460bhp. I think 500hp is attainable from a set of better exhaust manifolds and a more aggressive cams. It's not too hard to make 100hp/L out of a Coyote and I think it could be realistic to see at or near 500hp in the 2015 version of the 5.0

The article already said the flat-plane Twin Turbo V8 will be the spec of the GT350.

Ford and GM are jointly developing a 10-speed tranny, and yes, once complete it will be in the new Mustang (among many other cars.) Sounds totally absurd but true. They also seem to be mimicking Porsche with the 7MT if that bit is true.

The front looks to be a good match with spy photos of mules - what do you think it off? B-pillar back is where most of the speculation is, so the back half of the car will wind up looking somewhat different. I hope the rear styling is different from this render, not a fan of the tail lights.

Agreed, seems like C&D took the already quasi-known front end (from camoless spy shot) and just guessed everything back based on the mules portions. Supposedly the Blue Oval will reveal the mustang sometime before the Detroit show in January...I bet they wish Detroit could be the unveiling, but all these renders and potential for leaks will probably force their hand sooner. Either way, the evos design language looks great on the mustang front end.

If they continue to put the MT-82 6 speed in the 2015 models, I wont even consider touching one again.

I heard the Mustang will be officially debut in December. It will appear in Detroit.

I read on a blog in MotorTrend that it was December, but someone at Ford said no it will be introduced on 17 April 2014 for the 50th Anniversary...I hope its earlier.

BTW, Ford is livid Car and Driver leaked this...they wouldn't confirm if the rendering was 100% accurate, but according to some people it is very accurate.

2.3L Ecoboost motor with 330hp, this will be interesting. This will be the midline motor between the 3.7LV6 and the Coyote 5.0L.

Looks like the typical cheap plastic Mustang interior.

Spy shots from the convertible.

^^ wtf? You can barely see the interior yet. At least hold your opinion for a production interior that you can see.

Why don't they just sell them for a nickel.

Expecting sub-par interior. If indeed it is light and has IRS, I will get one for a track car. A cheap interior is not a deal breaker, nothing like ripping out a brand new interior.

The worst interior I've ever been in was my Lotus. It was bare metal and cheap plastic all over. I never held it against that car as that was not why I bought it. I don't think anyone purchasing a Mustang has any expectation of Rolls Royce-like interior quality. Give it a rest already. Is it shit? No. Is it amazing? No. It's right where it should be for a car of this status.

Exactly. It's not like it's a terrible interior. The newer ones especially have a semi-decent interior. Is it a Mercedes? No, does it cost 60k? No! I drove an 06 Saleen Mustang for a few years, and its interior was pretty much all plastic and hard as a rock seats. But none of that really mattered once I put the pedal down.

A Mustang with IRS and significant weight loss is going to own the Continental Tire series.

The 7L Camaro Z28 with 500hp is a serious contender.

As far as interiors go, on the current Ford product line like the Fusion and Focus, the interior is not bad at all.
