M exhaust accessory?
So I'm still waiting for my2013 e92 to start production, but I'm wondering to any other fellow e92 owners- did any of you buy the M exhaust BMW offers? Granted it sounds like a lion in the YouTube video, but is 4K really worth it? I've never heard it in person, and probably wont unless I purchase it- just looking for feedback, or if aftermarket is the way to go.

Unless you're purchasing the M Performance exhaust with the car (I believe it gets installed at the VPC/VDC) I'd wait and buy it from a forum vendor - you can pick one up for $3300-3500. However, if you plan on adding an aftermarket x-pipe with the M Performance exhaust then it might not be the best choice - search the forum and you'll find out why!
I agree with dadealus...get an Akra exhaust with CF tips |

I don't know how so many people are getting this system and getting away with it. Don't your states have emissions testing?

Replace the Akra x-pipe with the stock x-pipe when it's time for emissions testing. The Akra axle-back clamps directly to the stock x-pipe with the Akra adapter...

I had the Performance exhaust and couldnt pair it with any x-pipe, it sounded terrible, extremely raspy , I sold it and bought the akra evo, couldnt be happier!

And many here lease, meaning they give the car back before they need to do any emissions testing Next best thing is to put the stock back on when/if you have to do any testing

I have the M-Performance exhaust and I love it, personally. I got it, but I don't plan to add an X-pipe. If I did, I would have went with a different option. Alone, I think the M-performance sounds great. It is quiet when I need and loud when I need. You can get it for $3500 at most places nowadays, FYI.
