Unknown error

5 times this week I have come back to my parked M3 to have the trip odometer reset, clock reset, and 2 warning messages that flash almost too fast to read. The text is "increased battery discharge" and the warning symbol is attached to the thread.

Never happened before. Car starts and drives without an issue.

Any ideas?

Happened to me, too. It is the battery. They changed it, programmed it, and it went away.

Drive it around to let it charge. If it keeps happening replace the battery. Make sure you also have a battery reset performed.

Edit: Just read the OP more closely... 5 times a week - definitely replace the battery

I'm having this issue as well...may be a dumb question...but do you have to buy a battery from the dealer or can you get an aftermarket one(i assume you can) but does the dealer have to reset...
