Natural Gas CNG to M3

I know it sounds little funny, but anyone do have install it? What it cost and is here US many places were they can install it. When you are driving like highway how low you really can go whit this gas. Because I have saw like H2 whit gas and you can drive really cheap.

I know it sounds amusing but has anybody converted their M3 to run on natural gas? If so, what were the costs involved and how is the network of installers in the US? If driving on the highway, how low (?) can you really go on natural gas? I saw a Hummer H2 coverted to run on natural gas and the driver saved a considerable amount of money on fuel.

in turkey, someone converted his ferrari to natural gas ($10/US gallon gas price in turkey, a ferrari costs 2.7 times the price it costs in the US due to taxes). Ferrari bought back the car from the owner stating that their cars are not meant to be treated that way.

I would have assumed that in selling the car to him
They gave up any rights to how their cars are treated no?
Shouldn't make a damn difference because they sold the car
So it's not his property
If he wants to paint it pink with white sheepskin interior
So be it

Resurrecting an old thread...

It's definitely an expensive proposition, and you will lose power (compare the CNG Civic vs. the same engine on gas).

In Oklahoma, there's a big tax break available, CNG is a LOT cheaper than gasoline, the network of fuel stations is growing, and my company would give me $5000 in fuel if I bought (or converted to) a CNG vehicle.

Even with all that, it will be a while before I consider CNG. Hope it's a viable choice soon, though. Given the huge supply, the fact that it's produced here, and it burns much cleaner than gasoline, the U.S. would be stupid not to take advantage of it. Washington needs to put CNG on a level playing field with electrics in order to really make things happen.

Washington needs to get out of it entirely. They are historically terrible when it comes to picking winners.

Yeah, that's be the better option. Wishful thinking at this point, however.

Cabbies save 50% in terms of CNG MPG compared to Gasoline - this takes into account the cost of CNG. However engine life is tanked by 1/2 and conversion cost is a factor and power is less.
