It's not below 59 deg F. I keep it in garage but yes I use ethanol blended fuel.
But my 2011 X5 3.5p has no problem with this, and it stays outside. Thx for information.

that slight shudder is completely normal. It's not gonna start up like a normal I6 engine would like your x5.
Is this your first V8 engine? If it is then I can understand why you would worry. You've never heard or started a V8 engine before. So nothing to worry about

Rough at cold start is normal. My '08 550 with the V8 was the same way...

I can definitely hear an odd little "extra" sound if you will, before the car starts up.

I almost didn't buy my low mileage '08 E92 a few months ago because the cold start just didn't sound right but after doing some research and having the car for a while it is perfectly normal. I'm willing to bet if we all open our hoods and have someone else start the car while we listen under the hood it will sound exactly the same.
