Thanks, SamS! Makes sense.

I do believe the emissions standards WILL be different for the 2012 model. Meaning stricter. This is why I'm not sure they'll give the car more power for it's swan song. Though I can feel they want to.

Indeed a great point, cost is always an issue...I wouldn't hold my sales person to it and I can obviously not provide any usable intel here but I have been told that there will not be major changes to the MY2012 and cost will be roughly that same

True however ED pickup in early Sept will still not result in a car on the streets here in the US until NOV as the delivery to the east coast is 8-10 weeks. I am on the west coast and that will be more like 10-12.

If I had the $$ I would swap my red 09 mt e90 for a red 11 mt e90. The car is brilliant.

Love the e90! Glad to have a last model year. Really think this could be a classic car. Last NA, only V8 sedan m3 ever made? Like the sound of that. Hope they make another sedan though, can't imagine them giving up on this platform.

I am very happy I got mine before they close production. My 4 year old son loves hearing the down shift rev matching and the sweet exhaust. It puts a smile on both our faces.

how does this tie into that new m3 gts-like 4 door that we saw running around the ring?

its sad to see such a beast go bmw would be better off upping the displacement to around 5ish liters and putting out 600 hp...that would be a monster

i guess the cheap easy way to go is turboing though...then at least the f30 guys will make us jealous with their 400$ tunes that add 200 hp

nothing can beat that v8 sound when you start the car in the morning or when you're at 8300 rpm...RIP best M ever

So the M3 coupe E92 ends its production in juni 2012 but the new F32 model won't be out until 2013 or even 2014. Thats a gap for atleast a year that there wil be no M3a available. And I guess it's even worse for the sedan since its not likely that the F30 will be released before the F32

So here's what I really want to know. If the 2012 E92 M3 is SOP on 9/11 when will we be getting details on options, specs, and pricing? And when will people be able to put in orders?

It really does seem that it's too soon to happen. But I am looking forward to make room for the new M3

I don't see any information on European Delivery. When is the absolute drop dead date to purchase a car for European Delivery? Anyone know?
