M3 vs 1997 Honda Accord

No comparison. I got to drive a M3 yesterday out in Newberry Park, California, for BMW's M Power Tour. For those of you that can tell, I currently drive a 1997 Honda Accord coupe, and jumped at the chance to drive a car with 4 times the HP, twice as many cylinders, 3 times the torque, plus RWD. Damn. That's all I can say.

Might not sound like a lot to you guys but I am obsessed with the M3, first time I got interested is when I saw one in a parking lot right after I graduated HS, black on black e36. Ever since then I have wanted to drive one, and hopefully after I graduate medical school I plan to get a gently used e92. This was my first time even getting into a BMW, I didn't know anyone that owned one, everyone owns Lexus boringmobiles or Toyota blandmobiles. I know you all have seen the new commercials for the IS. Well those people look like they are yawning instead of screaming.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures, I was too busy trying to follow the stupid paper map they give you of the course (route). Why they didn't have the route programmed in the navigation is beyond me. iDrive is waaaay better, the back button helps a lot. I only used an iDrive controller once, during the LA auto show, and I didn't like it. Not sure what that stalk on the lower left of the wheel was for, below the turn signal.

What an amazing feeling being able to actually pass cars on the freeway and go up steep hills and not hearing the engine bogging down. And of course I flogged it when I could, unfortunately the instructor said he would personally murder us if any of us turned DSC off.

Not sure if you can cuss here but F*** FWD cars, I have seen the light.

PS if this belongs somewhere else sorry.

Hold on, hold on, what if the 1997 Accord was built by a certain coach Ditka?

um...shouldn't even be a comparison in the first place. You can't expect a 3k accord to be anywhere near the m3.

and ISF is not too bad, you may like it.
