One elevator bolt and a furnture gripper and you're done. DYI made real simple.

Link below shows how it's done on an e46 but I don't see it being any different on our cars.

If it was that easy, it'd have been out by now.

Take a look underneath and you'll see that the e46 case doesn't apply to the e9x applications.

To reduce the travel of the clutch so you're not wasting time/energy pushing it past the friction point.

I made one on my E46, but the E9X doesn't have the plastic stopper already installed like the E46s did.

While I wait, I am just stapling one of these underneath the clutch pedal. Limits the travel and makes a cool noise, too. A little messy, but I have the rubber winter mats down.

It's in the wrong place. Find the round cage under the hood. That's where it goes. The clutch may work better but you're not realizing the full power of the engine without it.

Sorry, ersin, but the critter in question is a GERBIL not a HAMSTER. When not being used as a clutch stop, it goes in your pants, not in the round cage thingy.

Is that the Hybrid conversion I've been hearing about? Cool!

Oops. My bad. I'll wear my glasses from now on when reading the forums.

So, this won't work on the E9x M3? Are the threads different? Is there even a threaded hole for it?

No hole, therefore no threads! Obviously you could make some kind of block that could be velcroed to the carpet.

Velcro would only work for female gerbils. Male gerbils drink too much beer for this to work.

Well, you could drill a small hole in the floorboard and stick their jewels through it to secure!

yup nuthin like the e46 thats why UUC isnt making one. IMO its better than a short shift kit.

ok - its crude, rude and its cheap but it works. and its easily removable if you have to take the car in for service. buy a rubber stop of the approximate shape from an auto parts store - about one inch cube should do. trim it (takes some expirimentation) to fit to the back of the clutch pedal so its the right thickness to hit the carpet to stop the pedal where you desire with a slight arc on the side thats agaisnt the pedal and flat for the floor side. tape the rubber stop firmly into place with black duct tape. done.
