Help? BMW South Motors multiple misdiagnosis and negligence over whistle noise

Cliff Notes. I have owned the car since 10,000 miles...

- October 2015 46k miles on my 2011 M3 and a whistle/whoosing noise under throttle and matching throttle input develops. Sound worsens until I bring it into dealer because it sounds like my intake is not on the car and i have a Short Ram CAI. VERY VERY loud whistle

Dealer Visits
- Invoice Date 12/17/15 -
Diagnosis: "Vacuum leak noise from engine bay caused by crank case hose improperly positioned"
Repair: "Crank Case Hose reattached"
Cost: $395
Result: Noise was 90% gone but I just wanted the damn car back and was going to take it elsewhere

- Invoice Date 12/30/15 -
Diagnosis: "DME Misfire Throttle Valve faults banks 1&2. Gummy Actuators"
Repair: "Refurbishing of Actuators"
Cost" $548
Result: Car runs great, whooshing/whistle noise is 100% back and as loud as ever. I assume they screwed up the hose....

- Invoice Date 01/05/2016 - **Goodwill for Invoice #1 crankcase hose achieved. BMW readdressed the problem at no charge**
Diagnosis: "Left side crank valve leaking"
Repair: "Replace Crank Case Valve on Left Valve Cover"
Result: I pick the car up, the whistle noise is as loud as it ever was.... VERY loud.

- Pending Invoice thru Today - ** I drove head mechanic and he heard noise. Regional technician was in the area days later and diagnosed the following himself.
Diagnosis by Regional Manager: "Noise is normal, car is performing all tests favorably. It is a normal intake manifold noise".
Repair: ..........
Result: ..........

Can ANYONE help me with what is causing this noise? It sounds like I got in my car and someone removed the intake filter and box and just left an open intake boot.

O yea, and fvck this dealership

Let AA take a look. They are close to South anyway.

Yea, Im just frustrated that Ive spent money for a misdiagnosis AND they have in reality cost me 10s of hours of time and frustration.

I called BMWNA and they said they will email the dealer but they cannot force them to do anything as far as refunds or negligent behavior. Shame at the customer service.

You might want to examine your Airbox area (open the box up and have someone step on throttle) just incase if you haven't, you never know. You didn't mention if you did or not so I'm assuming you didn't. Good luck!

Go to another dealership. Voting with your feet is a proven approach.

They said they smoke tested everything and found no air leaks anywhere. Does this happen after the filter area? Id be beyond shocked if an INTAKE like noise didnt inspire them to look at the intake...

I was always happy with the service at South Motors. Not a lot of dealers to choose from. Braman is the worst and then Lauderdale is okay but far.

FWIW, it's "Cliffs Notes". "That being said" (Hehe), you can't expect folks on an online forum to help with a noise when we can't hear it ourselves.

Called BMW NA today... they told me they the Service Manager

Called the Service Manager, he told me they never got in touch with him.

Called BMW NA back, they said they emailed AND he responded to them.

Called the Service Manager back, he told me he'd check his email history and get back to me.....

Customer service, Give me a break. and it took 1.5 hours to accomplish all of this (which was nothing). Asking for a full refund so I can take the car to Active.

I can't take a video until I get the car, but ill get an HD vid when i do!
